Description

GEM is actively responding to disasters all over the world. Our first response phase involves sending pre-packed boxes to help families survive in the immediate days after a disaster. We depend on local volunteers to help us pack these boxes with food, hygiene and other necessary items. We are currently working on assembling hygiene kits for our Family Necessities Kits.

Information for volunteers

We currently welcome individual volunteers every Friday, 12pm to 2pm. Please reach out to me or check on POINT as this constantly changes. We have opportunities to volunteer on our website: https://www.globalempowermentmission.org/volunteer/ Upon arrival you will check-in with the front desk. Sign-in Sheet Signing or verification of waivers. You can print out the waivers from our website and bring them with you or sign them here. You will watch a brief video about GEM including its missions. If you would like to come in a larger group, we would also gladly accommodate you. Please mention this in an email and I will coordinate an event for you. We do require that everyone on the floor wears closed toe shoes. Feel free to bring a refillable water bottle. We provide light snacks.
