For people with no health insurance, or those who need medications not covered by their insurance plan, this card could lower the cost by an average of 30 percent. There are no age, income or residency restrictions, no limit on how many times you can use it and no waiting to get a card. Nearly 1,000 United Ways in all 50 states are supporting this effort. To date, we have saved Miami-Dade residents over $2.5 million on their prescription medications.
