Taste of FIU

Taste of FIU is taking place on Friday, December 7th. All proceeds benefit the Florida International University/United Way 2018 Campaign.

Amateur cooks representing faculty, staff, students, and alumni, will compete in three elimination rounds for the title of FIU's BEST chef. Each contestant has a goal of fundraising a minimum of $400 to benefit United Way of Miami-Dade. Please support these chefs - the top fundraiser will be awarded a fabulous prize at the event and our community will benefit from the dollars raised for United Way.

For over 90 years, United Way of Miami-Dade has tackled our community's biggest issues through innovation and collaboration. United Way is a volunteer based organization, whose mission is to build a stronger Miami where all children have the opportunity to learn and thrive, where families are financially secure and where people can live their lives to the fullest, because they have the good health to do so.

50% of the population in our community live either in poverty or are one emergency away from falling into poverty. By supporting these chefs you can be a part of making sure those who are struggling get the help they need and that we're all working to build a stronger Miami.

For every dollar United Way receives, they are able to convert it into $2.70 via matching funds, grants and in-kind donations.

We thank you for your donation, because of your gift you are helping us build a more stable, healthier and more educated community, a Stronger Miami
