the impacts and community implications of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
. Note that United Way of Miami-Dade continues to closely monitor and evalu
ate the situation to ensure we are taking necessary measures to protect the
health and wellbeing of our volunteers. We will update you regarding the s
tatus of this volunteer opportunity should anything change.\n\nHealth in th
e Hood connects communities to health and wellness, providing education, ph
ysical fitness classes and healthy eating opportunities for children and fa
milies in neighborhoods across Miami. Health in the Hood launched their eme
rgency food relief program, Filling Fridges, to respond to the immediate ne
ed for food for displaced students and families. \n\nVolunteers in good hea
lth, who have not been in contact with individuals showing signs of illness
related to COVID-19, are needed to to prepare produce bags for pull up pan
