pond to the impacts and community implications of the Novel Coronavirus (CO
VID-19). Note that United Way of Miami-Dade continues to closely monitor an
d evaluate the situation to ensure we are taking necessary measures to prot
ect the health and wellbeing of our volunteers. We will update you regardin
g the status of this volunteer opportunity should anything change.\n\nHealt
h in the Hood connects communities to health and wellness, providing educat
ion, physical fitness classes and healthy eating opportunities for children
and families in neighborhoods across Miami. Health in the Hood launched th
eir emergency food relief program, Filling Fridges, to respond to the immed
iate need for food for displaced students and families. \n\nVolunteers in g
ood health, who have not been in contact with individuals showing signs of
illness related to COVID-19, are needed to to prepare produce bags for pull
