Engaging in public policy advocacy is a powerful way to make a difference in people's lives. Public policy advocacy is an essential component to achieving our mission and goals. The government is a critical decision maker and partner in improving education, financial stability and health in our community. In as little as ten minutes a week, you can help bring about positive changes. Get informed. Find your voice. Spread the word. Be a champion for change.

2016 PUBLIC POLICY PRIORITIES

United Way’s public policy priorities are focused on improving our community’s education, health and financial stability. We partner on a state-wide 2016 Florida United Way Consensus Legislative Agenda – which represents the collective voice of 32 local United Ways in Florida and the United Way of Florida. We also work with United Way Worldwide on key federal issues. Following are our public policy priorities:
