New Horizons Community Mental Health Center, a longtime partner of United Way and a community-based organization serving a federally designated area of poverty, began operations in Miami-Dade County in March of 1974. The center was established to provide culturally sensitive and accessible services to its multiethnic catchment area.

Join our 9500 for 95 challenge as part of United Way of Miami-Dade's yearlong communitywide celebration of volunteerism. You play a key role in shaping our community and your involvement is essential to our mission. Enlist your team, friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues, and join us in our fight for a stronger Miami.

Volunteers will help restore dignity to New Horizons and provide a welcoming space for their clients by revitalizing their campus that provides direct access to behavioral health resources. This is primarily painting outdoors.

This opportunity has ended.

Please wear clothing and shoes that are comfortable for the outdoors and ideal for painting.

United Way will provide water and all painting materials.
