VolunteerMiami

Powered by United Way

VolunteerMiami powered United Way is a communitywide volunteer portal where local nonprofits and residents can unite to move the community forward through service. Through partnerships with hundreds of individuals and organizations that share a collective vision for what is possible, United Way is calling for volunteers who are interested in taking a leadership role in various community opportunities.

A VolunteerMiami Leader is a community member who is ready and available to fulfill a leading role before, during, and after volunteer opportunities housed in VolunteerMiami. This person embodies what the United Way stands for and is a champion - not just within United Way Miami - but across their community. Responsibilities include organizing, leading, and inspiring groups of volunteers before, during, and after a project. Projects include but not limited to:

Environmental cleanups
Kit Packings (various themes)
Landscaping/beautifications
Organizing The Shop with M-DCPS
Food Packings

Multiple training dates available. After the initial training, volunteers will select the volunteer opportunity they're most interested in and plan for their first event.

About United Way: United Way Miami is a driving force in the community, successfully responding to emerging needs and transforming people's lives. Since 1924, we have worked together with our network of donors, volunteers, and partners, to generate and amplify resources, and advocate for policies that improve the quality of life for all. We leverage our unique role as convener, strategic funder, service provider, awareness builder, and influencer so that everyone in Miami-Dade has access to quality education and the opportunity to lead healthy and financially secure lives - the building blocks of a thriving community.
