Our organization is joining efforts with Branches that has teamed up with Capital One and MicroMentor, a Mercy Corps program that specializes in connecting small businesses to online mentors through an easy-to-use online platform, and we're calling on you to help by signing up as a volunteer business mentor today!
Today, more than ever, small businesses need your help in responding to the effects of COVID-19 and building resilience in the long term. As a mentor, you can offer support while remaining socially isolated or quarantined, with expertise in financial planning, applying for emergency loans or grants, pivoting to new business models, marketing to new customers, and adopting alternative sales channels being of particular importance at this time. Help a small business navigate the crisis while remaining socially isolated. Connect with a small business virtually in a way that works for you, with the average mentoring relationship lasting 12 hours over the course of 2-3 months.
Mentors associated with Miami Small Business Assistance Program will receive added support in the form of mentor training and match suggestions through Branches as well as access to MicroMentor's global community of business professionals available as a no-cost resource.
